Pacific Northwest based acoustic guitarist Eric Skye
occupies a unique position by clearly being in the
classic jazz guitar soloist camp, while offering the
intimate uncluttered solo acoustic resonance of the
contemporary steelstring guitar and it’s associated
approaches. Recordings and live performances are
marked by eloquently stated tunes, creative
arrangements, and in the moment improvisations,
often blurring the lines between a jazz guitarist playing acoustically, and an acoustic artist playing jazz.
